Ms. Hemphill graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Chatham College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in Chicago, Illinois. During her summers in law school, she worked for legal aid and the American Civil Liberties Union in Chicago. After graduating from law school, Ms. Hemphill served as a Judicial Clerk to the Honorable John H. Buttler at the Oregon Court of Appeals.

Linda has lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico for over 35 years. She is married, has four grown children and three grandchildren. She enjoys nature, yoga and pickleball. She also loves animals, especially dogs.
